Building Safe Spaces and Strong Futures One Mother’s Mission to Empower Women and Youth
Artresia Fryar, LCSW, is redefining what it means to be a mompreneur by blending compassion, clinical expertise, and entrepreneurial vision into a life’s work centered on healing and empowerment. As a licensed clinical social worker certified in New Jersey and Ohio, she has committed her career to uplifting youth and supporting women as they navigate some of life’s most vulnerable transitions.
At the heart of Artresia’s journey is her role as a mother to her two daughters, Aniyah and Brielle. Motherhood has not only shaped her perspective but has also strengthened her drive to create meaningful change in the lives of others. She understands firsthand the importance of nurturing environments, emotional support, and resilience, values that are deeply embedded in both her personal and professional life.
Artresia is the founder of The Imperfectly Perfect Counseling and Wellness Center in East Brunswick, New Jersey, where she leads with both authenticity and purpose. Through her practice, she provides therapeutic services to youth and families, including those involved in the New Jersey child welfare system. Her work extends beyond traditional therapy by meeting clients where they are, often within their own communities, and ensuring that care is accessible, consistent, and impactful. To expand her reach, she employs a dedicated team of behavioral assistants and licensed social workers who share her commitment to compassionate care.
Her entrepreneurial spirit does not stop there. Artresia is also the founder and CEO of Imperfectly Perfect Homes, an innovative program designed to support young women ages 18 to 21 as they transition into adulthood. Recognizing the challenges many young women face when aging out of support systems, she is creating safe and nurturing living spaces that offer stability, guidance, and opportunity. This initiative reflects her belief that every woman deserves a strong foundation from which to build her future.
Balancing multiple roles as a clinician, business owner, author, and mother is no small feat, yet Artresia approaches each with intention and grace. She openly embraces imperfection, encouraging others to do the same. Her philosophy centers on self care, self love, and the courage to pursue one’s dreams even when the path is uncertain.
Artresia Fryar, LCSW, demonstrates that motherhood and entrepreneurship are not competing identities but complementary forces. Through her work, she is not only building businesses but also building communities, creating spaces where healing happens and futures are reimagined.
